New Student Information

Hello Kindergarten Class of 2038!

If you're still needing to enroll for the 2025-2026 school year, please find both online enrollment and paper enrollment packets at www.isd624.org/Kindergarten. You can also register on the ParentVUE site. If you have any questions as you make your enrollment decisions, please feel free to contact the school office and we'll be glad to help!

Our Kindergarten Kick-Off for next year's kindergarteners is Thursday, April 3, 2025. You may come to a session that fits your schedule: 4 to 5 p.m., 5 to 6 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m. You'll meet the kindergarten teachers, enjoy fun activities together and take a short bus ride around the neighborhood. Not to mention meeting new friends! Be sure to wear your "I'm a BEAR" T-shirt you received in the mail!

Kindergarten Connections Days are in late July or early August. This is where the kindergarten teachers meet with students in a small group setting and determine best class placement for them. You'll receive an email invitation in June with a link to sign up for a session.

Buses are not assigned until August. You'll receive notification by postcard or email regarding what bus your child rides, pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Teachers will be assigned in August and a notification will be sent out letting you know when you can log in to ParentVUE to see which teacher your child is assigned.

If you need before and/or after-school care from our Extended Day program, you can visit their webpage for more information and how to enroll. Extended Day School Year Program

We'll see you in September! The first day of school for kindergarten is Sept. 5. School starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. If you're driving your child rather than taking the bus, the drop-off and pickup lane is in the Spruce Place parking lot. On the first day, all students will be dropped off by bus or parent at the main entrance, Door F on Bellaire Avenue.
